On January 26, 2025, the TSC team was invited to participate in the volunteer work of the 2025 Dallas New Year Gala Celebration at the McKinney High School Theater. The entire theater was packed, and The wonderful performance by the Dallas Henan Association received warm applause from the audience.
Our TSC team was responsible for following up the rehearsal, urging, sound effects, stage effects, ticket sales, cargo handling, performer meals, booth layout, backstage and makeup. The event lasted until 10 pm.
Through this event, we gained a lot of experience and put the knowledge learned in school into good use. Our new team members also held charity sales and successfully practiced their social skills in large public places.
After the event, we also submitted a volunteer work summary to the organizing committee the next day, summarizing the shortcomings we saw and felt in order to help them do better in the future. Our excellent performance has been highly praised by all member units and the organizing committee. The 2025 Dallas New Year Gala has concluded successfully.
On January 26, 2025, our club was invited to participate in the grand Hubei Association New Year social event held at the Plano IVY Activity Center.
We helped the organizers to set up the exhibition, hang balloons and lanterns, make background boards, provide consultation & guidance, and clean up after the activity. In addition, our teammates also presented wonderful performance. This event helped us promote our club very well.
Everyone benefited a lot, but also saw some problems in the event, such as catering, lighting, hosting, cleaning, etc. On the third day after the event, we submitted a summary of the volunteer activities to the organizers, explaining our ideas and suggestions.
Our action was well received by the organizers.
On October 26, 2024, we participated in the food festival held by the CCCFC Church. We held a charity sale at this food festival. The income was donated to the church for construction and maintenance. We made delicious food to sell, and picked large winter melons grown in our own home to share with volunteers. Our charity sale was generally successful, even though there were some shortcomings.
After the event, we summarized our experience, such as the location was not ideal, the food was not rich enough, the drinking water was not prepared enough, the sun protection measures were not enough, etc. This helped us to better implement the next event and accumulate experience. Although the weather was very hot, everyone was happy to contribute their own strength.
On October 12, 2024, we were invited by the volunteer group to participate in the cultural festival held by the Texas Women's Association in the city center square of McKinney.
We helped set up the stalls, clean up the garbage in the food area, arrange seats for the audience, deliver water to exhibitors, distribute flyers, help with the stalls, etc. This was a good exercise for some new team members. Some team members made good attempts at social communication and made new friends.
Although the weather was extremely hot, everyone was very happy to have gained something. Seeing the smooth progress of the event and the cheers of the audience made us feel proud that we could contribute to the cultural development of this city.
