Hi, my name is Iniya Prabhu! I’m currently a senior in high school. At TSC I’ve coached younger kids in sports, and I’m also on my high school’s varsity tennis team. I’ve tutored international students in English as well. I play the violin and I love reading! In my free time, I enjoy staying active, exploring new books, and spending time doing creative or academic activities that help me grow.
Tennis is not just a sport I enjoy—it plays a big role in staying healthy. It improves cardiovascular fitness, builds muscle strength, and increases flexibility and coordination. Playing tennis also helps with mental health by reducing stress and boosting focus and confidence. Whether I’m coaching younger kids or playing on the varsity team, tennis keeps me active, disciplined, and balanced both physically and mentally.
At TIME Social Club, I led weekly dance classes for adults, leading warm ups, stretching, and technique exercises. Additionally, I teach a variety of dance styles including ballet and jazz. During class, I choreographed and instructed numerous short dance phrases and provided individualized corrections to help students improve their technique, flexibility, and strength.
Beyond teaching , I strive to foster an encouraging and inclusive environment where students of all skill levels and ages feel supported and motivated to learn. I find it rewarding watching students improve in both dancing and their confidence, and I hope to make dance widely accessible for everyone interested in the performing arts.
